Q: What does "Bean to Bar" chocolate mean?
A: Bean to Bar is an industry-standard term that means we craft chocolate ourselves, starting with raw cacao beans that we roast, refine, and mold into chocolate bars, all in-house.Q: Are your chocolate bars vegan?
A: Yes, all of our chocolate bars are vegan. While our café offers some dairy options, most dishes and pastries are vegan or dairy-free.Q: Are your chocolate bars nut-free?
A: Yes, all of our chocolate bars are nut-free. In fact, our entire facility is nut-free, including our cafe.Q: Can I visit your factory to see chocolate being made?
A: Yes! Factory tours are part of our Wednesday chocolate education series. You might even catch our chocolate makers playing instruments while they work—it’s all part of the Cocoa Legato vibe.Q: Where do you source your cacao?
A: We source our cacao from small farms in South America, primarily Colombia and Peru. We work with trusted brokers to ensure farmers are paid fairly and sustainably for their work. Our Peruvian cacao is certified organic. While the farmers we partner with in Colombia don’t have the Organic certification, all the cacao is sourced in an organic fashion.Q: How do I store my chocolate after purchasing it?
A: You eat it! If somehow you have some left over, be sure to keep your chocolate in a cool and dry place. If your home is on the toasty side, the fridge is fine. However, never keep your chocolate in the freezer. We're here to debunk the myth that the freezer is a safe place for your chocolate.Q: Hey! Why no milk chocolate options?
A: We know there's a big fan base out there for milk chocolate. However, we're devoted to remaining a vegan chocolate company. We encourage you to try our 70% Colombian bar. It's surprisingly creamy and sweet for a dark chocolate bar! And who knows, maybe we'll cook up some oat milk bars in the future ;) -
